I hope you're wrong about it intensifying about the time it reaches Beaumont. It's strong enough already. I don't really understand what you mean about the area of convergence though and why it could strengthen there though.

It's approaching Houston now....ya'll stay safe and take cover when necessary!!

Still intensifying, watch out houston, im talking to someone in Richmond online that I warned, and its bad there, with winds gusting hard, hail is big, and he got scared and got in the shelter because the pressure dropped fast, so this storm that hit him, is coming at you, watch out with it, im continueing to warn people online.

Bow echo headed due W toward N Brazoria, S and Central Harris and N Galveston Counties.

Not looking good for Houston Metro and areas south. Actually looking quite frightening.

Katdaddy, I see your area on radar, its north of the Radar site for Houston. I am looking at that line maybe clipping you to the North, still a bit early to tell, its moving ENE it seems. and the worst is gonna hit houston metro head on. You gotta watch the Northern and southern ends of that southern line, because thats where rotation is occuring.

UPDATE: Katdaddy, the squll line is now backbuilding southward, and its getting stronger by the minute, so look for the same outcome houston is going to get!

Its going to be a close call. Looks like some high straight line winds on the way regardless. Lightening has really increased over the last 15 minutes. I can now hear thunder off to the W

I'm located in Far Southeast Houston just south od beltway 8 and I-45. (Sagmemont/Southbelt/Clearbrook) area. The rain hasn't started yet, but should I bring my pooch inside or will she be safe in her dog house?
