Definitely par excellence. I'm gonna have to drop by there more often! We gotta get rid of that pesky SE ridge.

Patience ... patience ... patience ....

I'm not saying that winter kicks in like the hurricane season of 2004, but to be honest, it sure as heck wouldn't surprise me, either ...

Well the New 10 Day 00z EC has the Polar Vortex farther north than the Previous 12 z EC from yesterday...It will be interesting to see what todays new 12z EC says.

yeah, well the new 12z ECMWF supports the 0z GGEM/GFS. the SLP tracks from the Southern Plains to the New England coast.

Out to D7 its also looking more likely the the system we will see the old PV slip over to the 50-50 low position as a secondary center forms and the two fujiwhara around eachother. It could also force the ridge associated w/ the rex block over the east atlantic to retrograge to greenland setting up a classic -NAO

KUDOS to the GFS for figuring this out last night at 0z. Assuming it holds up.

Wait? Did i just see myself praising the GFS?
