For example, it is almost impossible to find the formula for the volume of an 10-dimensional sphere without calculus, but with it, it is quite easy (especially once you find the system). And then there are vectors, derivatives, gradients, integrals. You can find the sums of infinite series, rates, differential equations, etc. All of them so very powerful and useful in so many different fields.

I only had to take pre-calc in order for me to enter the MBA program at my local college. I couldn't understand how the applications could be and would be relavent to business. I'm sure that it is, but I could barely get past derivatives!

Anytime you have to do something with rates or changes, there is room for calculus. Any time you have to deal with totals or areas, there is room for calculus. I believe that practically every advanced field that has math in it uses calculus on some level, even social sciences (for example with statistics, which requires calculus).

I've been talking with the professor. I managed to pass through Calc I and now Calc II is giving me all the problems! There are many days that I am her in office getting the needed help. She knows I'm struggling, but she also is encouraging me.
