11/27/2004 BALDWIN AL EMERGENCY MNGR

*** 5 INJ *** EMA REPORTED 30 TO 50 HOMES DAMAGED IN
DOWNTOWN SUMMERDALE IN A 5 TO 6 BLOCK RADIUS. AT LEAST 6
OF THESE HOMES WERE RENDERED UNINHABITABLE. SOME INJURIES
REPORTED...ESTIMATE 5 AT THIS TIME.

Sounds bad. We just had a cold rain up here(and some really gusty winds as a squall came through). Only 51 degrees right now and it's over now(worst was at 2pm), torrential rain and terrible wind.

Yes it came thru here. But it was really cold and right now we are back up to 44 after that line came thru it was 36. Also they showed a shot of the upper stands at the georgia game and it almost looked like it was snowing.

There were some reports of either small hail or sleet when the line came through here not far to the north.

That sounds pretty cool. To bad it was not 10-15 degrees colder here.

I saw on the news that one family went shopping for supplies to fix the damage done to their house by Ivan,when they returned they found out that their house had been destroyed by that tornado. :( It's hard to get into the holiday spirit with all this bad weather.
