I may have already mentioned this at Talkweather Alabama, but I'm 43...and have both a 28 yr old stepsis and 20 yr old half sis, and it is totally awesome!! (Maria, Beth, and I have always gotten along great :)

Congrats Brent!

I have a little brother of my own and I know how excited I was knowing he was about to be born. I mean I stayed up all night jumping up and down the night before my mom was induced so happy. But I jumped around to much and got something in my Eye and it swelled up. The lower eye lid did. So, I could not get around carson until the swelling went down later in the day. But, later in the day it did go down, then I got to hold my little baby brother, and it was the best feeling ever.

When I was little, I wanted a little sister or brother in the worst way. My mom began putting on weight and I'd watch her get ready in the morning, putting on makeup, etc. I asked her a few too many times - MOM, are you pregnant?!!! The looks she gave me.....years later she said every time she said NO, I was so disappointed. To this day I feel cheated to not have a younger sibling too Tom. I remember learning that my mom miscarried a year after I was born. I used to imagine what that would have been like - an instant playmate, 1 year younger than me. I did have 2 older brothers, but they were 9 and 10 years older. A different generation almost.
