My yard is still slush from the weekend rains when it was still slush from the storms earlier last week which was a little slushy from rain the week before, etc.

Now it's raining again with more on the way through tomorrow night, then a couple of supposedly partly cloudy days before the next storm system this weekend. I don't think we're going to be drying out anytime soon. The ground is so saturated that when I walk on my sidewalk, mud splashes up on my shoes and jeans unless I tip toe lightly and even that doesn't always work. Don't even try to walk through the yard!

Anyone else living in SlushLand?

I am. But its a different kind of slush. :oops:

But yeah it looks stormy there for the next week or so. Hopefully it will begin to dry out there.

I am! It has been sprinkling all day... Looks nasty out, and feels worse.. This humidity is really high... Its like walking out into peasoup... I cant wait for this cold front to visit us!

Yeah. There has been to much rain latley. But the good thing about it is if this keeps up with all these systems and we ever get any type of cold weather envolved. Then there will be a lot of winter activity this year. Atleast here in Georiga.

It's majorly sloshy around here too. While we haven't had any extreme rain events, most of the vegetation is dead or dying now so there is nothing to suck up the water. There was also a lot of snow recently in northern IN that has melted, and when added to the frequent rain events has lead to a river flood. I think the Wabash crested today here around 4' above flood stage. This happens several times a year (seems to be more frequent the last 2 years)...luckily it only affects farmland and a few roads when it gets this high.

You betcha. Got my very own swamp out in the back. Hubby spent yesterday afternoon installing a pump by the back porch to get rid of the excess. It's pretty cool - comes on as soon as the water gets to a given level and really moves a lot of water out fast. Hmmmmm...... only took him 12 years to get around to it!

I know the feeling. During the canes in september, may yard was a soaked sponge. had to use 4 wheel drive for 2 weeks just to get in and out of where I live. Had to park the wife's car at the church in town for 9 days till they could repair the road enough for the car to make it.
I'm hoping the high off our coast holds a little longer. If it doesn't, seems we may end the year with more then 17" above normal for the year. This would make it the second wettest year on record since 1851 for NE Florida.

LOL...I had a lot of rain from the 3 that came thru here as well. And Bonnie gave us a little rain early in the year.
