NHCWX Year End Recap Show Tonight 8 PM EST
First of all, I want to thank everyone who listened in and all of the good folks who have helped us put these shows together this season.
Coming up tonight at 8 PM EST, Bob and I will be hosting a special end of season show starting at 8PM. We'll recap the 2004 season and look ahead to 2005. Already scheduled to appear are (in alphabetical order):
Tony Cristaldi from NWS Melbourne,
Jason Kelly from WJHG/NBC in Panama City, Fla,
Dr. Chris Landsea from the Hurricane Research Division,
Dr. Steve Lyons from the Weather Channel,
Mark Sudduth from Hurricanetrack.com
And more!
Tomorrow night, (Tuesday) 11/16/2004, Chad and I will be back on the air at 9PM EDT. Since the tropical season has ended for all intents and purposes, there's really no sense in sticking strictly to the tropics. So the title of tomorrow night's show will just be...I guess...the Mike Watkins Show...unless someone can come up with a better name for it.
Tomorrow...we'll review the TV Movie "Category 6, Day of Destruction", as well discuss any other weather-related movies you can think of.
Also, we'll briefly discuss the politics of our little weather community...and trust me there are politics involved. The format will be wide open tomorrow night so any weather-related content is fair game. Going forward we have some other ideas to fill that time slot over the winter...and chances are good that we will open the show and content up considerably...
Any feedback will be appreciated and we'll see then!

It's too bad you won't be there for most of the broadcast Michael...we really appreciate all of your contributions during the hurricane season...I promise the archive will sound really good...and I look forward to working with you during the severe wx season.

Indeed Michael, I am going to HATE to miss this show. I've gotta get set up at work somehow so, at the very least, I am not scheduled on Tuesdays And Sundays(Or Thursday). Makes it difficult to keep up with the broadcasts.
I also sent you a regular email Mike. I got a new Christmas Present from Verizon Wireless (Share Plan) that will definately be useful in the future!!

A bonus tropical storm Otto for Mike and Bob to comment about at the show tonight.Especially both may comment about the last few seasons when very late storms haved formed and that may be caused by more warmer atlantic waters than normal.

Great feedback from the guests tonight...from all of them regarding Storm2K... and the great people here...and the contribution this place makes to the weather community...i'll try to get some quotes and transcripts and drop them in if I can...
Again...excellent feedback...but nothing we don't already know...Storm2K is making a huge difference.
