LMAO!!! That is sooooooo funny! You can also get one through
http://www.whatonearthcatalog.com/cgi-bin/hazel.cgi/hzpi/u/HzSt011514121210170m160U0n0n0m0n171312101716/hazel.cgi?ACTION=SEARCH&SEARCH_SPEC=christmas+story
I get their mail catalog, and, it's absolutely hilarious! Is the
missus as patient as Ralphie's mom is about having that leg
lamp?

The first year we had the leg lamp, I planted it squarely in the center of the front bay window. It was great to watch passing cars hit their brakes then turn around to get a second look!
Sadly, as my kids entered the teen years and became increasingly embarassed by my over fondness of truely "tacky" Christmas decorations, the leg lamp was bannished to the playroom.
Alas. ( But I still have my Scrooge Head wreath on the front door!)

One of the movies I mentioned on this thread, Family Man, is on tonight! NBC airs it at 8 p.m. (EST). Starring Nicolas Cage and Tea Leoni. Contains Christmas scenes. Summary...
"A Wall Street playboy wakes to find himself married to the college sweetheart he left in order to pursue a career 13 years earlier."
Not exactly in my top 10 movies of all time, but it was a neat movie and it made us all cry.

Wasn't that a cute line? That little girl is so cute. Later she tells her mom, he's still learning our ways....
The Family Man isn't about aliens but the man's daughter thinks he's one, b/c he's having a rough time adjusting to a family and surburbia - a van that doesn't run well, a dog that needs long walks, that greets him with licks every morning, he runs a tire store instead of running a Fortune Five company in NYC. Glad I tuned in! Haven't watched it for a few years.

Well, gosh darnit, I had a good ole Christmas cry last night watching The Family Man. A movie that just makes you appreciate what's important in life - family, friends, being happy. Not CEO jobs, not Wall Street, not $2400 suits. Shawn did you cry? I thought both stars were superb in this movie. And that little girl.....she stole my heart! I liked the best friend...he's on a current show I think. Used to be Ellen's cousin on one of her shows too.

And j.....did you cry? LOL Tear up?
Makes you stop and think though. If he hadn't intervened at the convenient store early on, none of that would have happened. Which prompts you to wonder - are there angels among us, encouraging us to do the right thing? I'd like to think so anyway....

I KNOW THERE ARE ANGELS AMONG US!!! I've seen too much evidence of it to think otherwise. There are even several of those angels residing right here at S2K IMO.
