A trip to the Hurricane Center in Miami would be nice, too.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best weather station for the least money? Thanks.

Very nice, John.

I'm thinking of hinting to my family that a propane cooking unit Christmas gift would be nice --- as a heads up for next season.

I want a shirt that says, "I went through the 2004 hurricane season and all I got was this lousy shirt." to give to my family in Florida. They could use a laugh.

How about a tree shield. We needed it up here in Georgia after all the rain.

It depends on what type of weather information you desire, but I definitely recommend a wireless weather station.....much easier to install and much safer during thunderstorms (re: lightning strikes).

I have a wireless Davis Vantage Pro and it's fantastic....but is on the pricey side ($549). Here's the website where I purchased mine last winter....there are also a couple of comparable wireless wx stations that are less expensive (a LaCrosse model for $349). I bought my first anemometer from Wind & Weather back in 1983, and have always been very pleased with the weather equipment/ products they sell.

I survived Tropical Storm Jeanne/Hurricane Jeanne as it was borderline when it made landfall here.
