Vacation Spots

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Dec 02, 2004 10:24 am

Well with Christmas vacations coming for some of us.. and some of us who get vacation days from work or what not.. here's a good question..

If you were to take a vacation today.. where would you want to go..?

I've actually already been thinking about this because next October I am eligible for a week vacation because I'll be at Wal Mart a year lol

Not going out of town or state this year for Christmas but we're having my sister and her family come down to Raleigh from Roanoke Rapids for Christmas Eve...visting, dinner and gift exchange! :) Each year we have a Happy Birthday Jesus cake, too...started that tradition after my niece and nephew were born! :D

Then Dec. 28th through 31st we're having my aunt and uncle from Indiana come and see our new townhouse...last we talked my aunt said that she's not sure if my uncle's work schedule will allow him that extra time but prayerfully and hopefully it will pan out! :)

We last saw my aunt and uncle (they're on my Dad's side of the family) and paternal grandfather and some cousins Christmas 2002 and an extra special treat was a 7 inch snowstorm while there in Indiana! :)

When you decide take a cruise around the islands with a stop at Puerto Rico. :) You will like it a lot when you came here in the future.

I guess it would be that way for me too, basically living next to it. For me, it is a treat, I feel like a big kid when I get there!!

I can't tell you where I would go...... One of the things I love so much about it is that it is remote and quiet. Let's just say it has lots of trees, and water, and no electricity, and it is very peaceful. If I tell too many people then that won't be the case anymore.....sorry!! :D

Go to the Seattle area in the summer as well (sunny and warm then) - IMO it's the most beautiful place in the country...as you have ocean and mountains all around you. I've heard NYC is a blast at Christmas time...lots of hustle and bustle. I wouldn't mind being in Paris or London at Christmas either.
