Another subtropica/extratropical low?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Another subtropica/extratropical low?

#1 Postby Matt-hurricanewatcher » Thu Dec 02, 2004 7:54 pm

Look at 31.5/35 west it is staying around that area. If it where to move to the south or west. Then there would be a chance?

As for Otto it still has some convection on the southern side of the cirulation with a well defined Cirulation. I could almost say that it could of been a depression for a few more hours but who's the boss.

I would love to see a Paula, but I'm afraid it won't happen until 2010. If this gets some more convection, then maybe, just maybe, but as of now, probably not.

If Paula wants to develop, and stay over harmless waters, I will welcome her with open hands. Let see what happens. Last year Peter developed around the same area.

I though water was going much cooler than where Otto developed but as it's visible to your eyes, the surface temperatures of the Atlantic Ocean in this part is very similar to where Otto formed.

If it wants to develop where the "unofficial" Hurricane Peter did last year, it has to move down.
