No kidding! We're still swimming here in west Houston. Seriously NOT looking forward to what's supposed to come down this weekend. The powers-that-be haven't let any water out of Addicks dam and all we need is a good Texas-style p*ss down to send it over 2 major commuting arteries. Lake Bayles finally started receding during the past couple of days but it's still pretty squishy back there. Dogs having a field day!

Here is a graphical image from the CPC of monthly precip and anomaly for November in the CONUS.
The two things that are obvious are the much wetter than normal conditions in the south-central US, MS Valley, TN Valley, OH Valley and in portions of the desert SW. Also, the Pacific Northwest was VERY dry. It looks the like the wet period will continue in the eastern US for December, although with the pattern change next week, I imagine it'll be a bit further east (East Coast mostly). Also, as systems ride up and over the building west coast ridge, ample moisture from the central and western Pacific will converge on the west coast to produce heavy precipitation. It looks to me as if the PacNW will make up for lost time this month.
