Information about PayPal

I may know where to obtain this information... However with the possibility that I don't:

How do you possibly know what Routing Number and Account Number is of a Saving Account?

Also, I assume the "Bank Name" is literally the name of the bank one uses and the "Branch Location" is the town or city the bank is in.....

Its on the bottom of your checks... exmaple... the first 9 numbers on the check is your routing number, and the next 10 numbers is your account number, the next numbers is the check number... I am not sure if all the banks have the same amount of numbers, but thats how many mine has... Hope this helps!

I am aware of the checking account number, but wouldn't that be for just that... checking accounts. You are able to use PayPal through your savings account, as well.

I'm 85% sure that the routing number relates to the institution and that it would be the same on checking and savings accounts. That's no help if you only have a savings account. The information is only a quick phone call away. (call your bank)

Figures, oh well. I wanted to do something on my own for once (without a phone call). It's bad
enough I just about can't do anything on my own at nearly 27 1/2 years old.

It doesn't make any sense, not everyone who has a savings account has a checking account.

Perhaps it's on my bank statement; which came in on Friday.

My savings account has a routing number.. I pay my car note through my savings account... I gave them the same info that I told you... If you dont have checks for your savings account, look on your deposit slips.. It should have all of the same info on it like a check would have...

yep...my savings and checking have different routing #'s and account #'s

It doesn't make any sense. Most people have only a savings account rather than both a savings and checking account.

I ended up using my parents routing number in order to sign up for PayPal. Which probably isn't too wise.

I think Tom that the information can also be on your deposit slip. I know my bank has the routing number listed under their address. The account number is always on the bottom.

Our banks have only one routing number, but that number is usually dependent on the branch where your account was opened/maintained, regardless of whether it's checking or savings. Their web sites have the info...

It makes more sense to me that people would keep their money in a savings account and aren't able to have/no reason to write checks.

Hmmm. Well I already used the routing number that's on my parents checks. My mother doesn't think PayPal is a good idea, however their site and at least a few people who use their site say they have no problems with them.

I tried setting up an account with them (PayPal) late Friday night/early Saturday morning, but after attempting to enter the two very small deposits to verify my account and checking the it for the heck of it yesterday, they for some reason aren't accepting my credit card number anymore. They say I have to use another credit card.
