We are working on it.. Sorry guys.. It only works on the Index page.. So if you go to the index hit the stop button a bunch real quick then your good..

Interesting. How sophisticated is this? Its been a while since I knew anything about network security. Did they break into your computers? Or was it just a script-kiddie. I am all for sending them to jail, hopefully your server is in another state then their computer, because I believe it is federal in that case....

it's just kiddy script, hacking the server and using the php to redirect to a different web link. it's done to get noticed and say hey you had a secerity hole that I can exploit.

Some people just like to cause problems. So far there is no evidence that this was targeted against STORM2K specifically. It appears to be just a random hack....

I do not tolerate these kinds of nonsense very well.

This hacker should be reported. He is not very smart, his IP should be tracked down, then his parents and ISP should be contacted by the police and some preventative action taken.

There is no excuse for kids to do these kinds of exploits. The kid should be severely punished, grounded for 6 months and the computer trashed and the kid forbidden to play with computers or the Internet for a year or more, whatever the heck it takes until the kid learns that this behavior will not be tolerated.

If the kid does not learn then he should be thrown into the harshest military school possible. If that does not work then he should be thrown into prison for about 75 years with the general population.

I'm sorry folks but I will be making my living on the Internet, and I do not have the time for this nonsense, nor will I ever clear time on my schedule for this nonsense! Parents need to crack down on the children!!!! If parents can not or will not police their kids then the state system should, because there are people doing business on the Internet and we have absolutely NO TIME for stunts like these!!! If the kids will not learn and/or will not be taught then we have prisons. Our laws need to be severely toughened up with no mercy!!!!!

That's my position on this matter and I will NEVER BUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't take credit for finding it. :-)

I did a quick look on the phpbb.com forum and found the fix. At least we're back to normal. We will be upgrading the board either tonight or tomorrow night to close the security hole.

I know that both chad and Marshall will improve the security things that may preclude the board from have another hack from those wackos.
