chad - noticed the quick reply boxes missing also, and noticed some of my pm are not being seen - they are still in my outbox & it isn't always showing when a message is in the in box - you know where it says it at the top of each page. still have one to you that has not been picked up from yesterday but you have picked up others since.
oh! and am still getting the pop ups notice from my firewall everyonce in awhile from pages here.

The funny thing about these script kiddies is that they think they are elite because they managed to "hack" some boards. In almost every instance, they are using a program written by someone else, and likely following instructions from some script kiddie website. Of the few tools I've lookeda t in my time, I reckon I could train my Dad to use them and hack someones site, and considering he has trouble turning a PC on, that's saying something :) The only difficult bit about hacking like this is finding a vulnerable forum to attack, which just takes time, and little to no social life. I think the reason storm2k got targetted is because on some phpbb foum lists, Storm2k comes near the top because it is one of the largest forums on the internet running phpbb. I seriously doubt this guy did anything other than load up a program, type in the forums address and typed in a redirect address and let it do the work. It's kinda pathetic really that they get off on something so simple :P

Why don't hackers do something productive with their lives? :x

Hackers do plenty of productive things...

Linux, open source software, network security, and tinkering with new gadgets.

Crackers break into sites and cause damage, steal credit card numbers etc.

Script Kiddies press buttons.

People who 'hack' are either vigillantees and break into child stuff / spam sites, or do it for the purpose of finding security holes and giving information to the sysop on how to fix it.

Regardless network intrusion is illegal. Hacking and network intrusion aren't the same thing, but it has become that way because of the media in the minds of people.

I thought everyone would be interested in this. I reported the hacker to his ISP last night. Now if you try and go to his site this is what you get.

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /suspended.page/ on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It's definitely spyware or adware. Make sure your scanner had the latest updates. :-) Adaware is still the best I've found.
