Huh. Wonder why they issued a TW... lemme see why.

Edit: Ah, I see why now.... Stormsfury is outside the watch, but he better keep a close eye on the storms. KC is in it.

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/latest/DS ... kjgx.shtml

Nice little squall line developing it appears... looks like a bow echo in the county below Toccoa and above Athens... :eek:

In addition... some weak rotation is being detected by radar in some of these storms...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
BANKS COUNTY IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA
JACKSON COUNTY IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA

* UNTIL 1015 PM EST

* AT 923 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND
DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES
WEST OF JEFFERSON...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
MAYSVILLE...HOMER AND COMMERCE.

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A
TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A
STURDY STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

It also now appears a second line is trying to develop back near Rome, GA...and also into the AL/GA border...

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/latest/DS ... kffc.shtml

In addition, some rotation is being detected with the storm Jackson and Banks Cty, GA... the storm has intensified some as well per a new SVR WX stmt...

Last night was pretty crazy. I almost got into an accident on 75 because the right lane was flooded. I'm glad we got rid of the severe weather, and now its time to welcome some nice winter weather for a change! :wink:
