Getting Cold in Florida...BRRRRRRRR

I live on the se side of the St Johns river so the cold winds gotta cross 3 miles of water to get here.

So our low was only 36 last nite.

I dont think it got as cold as predicted elsewere either

we have had a hard freeze warning here for the last two nights and again for this evening.

glad we bought a couple of cords of wood! we have a HUGE fireplace built from Tennessee rocks. pretty unusual for this part of FL but sure am glad we have it right now.

Here it was only supposed to get down to 43, but instead it got down to around 39 with a windchill of 30. Felt just like Christmas this morning

While the low temp was not that severe(36), the day was cold with a high of only about 50 with cold, humid NE winds comming off the Atlantic so it was a raw day.

I wore a flannel shirt outside in the afternoon and it wasnt quite warm enough. Could have used another layer

I had ice on my car. My thermometer read 28.

Of course, Im well west of the St Johns. No river to moderate my temps.

all i know is it has been cold here! the winds cutting right though you! feels like tx! lol
