Chicken In Pear Tree Has Company

FOUR OAKS, N.C. -- Another bird has joined the chicken in a Bradford pear tree in the town of Four Oaks.

Earl the rooster has joined Pearl in a Bradford pear tree.

Last month, WRAL reported about the chicken, Pearl, who has been in the tree for months.

Now Pearl has a boyfriend, a rooster named Earl. WRAL found Pearl and Earl today stretching their chicken legs on the ground, but they spend most of their time in the tree.

Who knows -- maybe one day soon there will be more than a pair of birds in that pear tree.
