#1 Postby BreinLa » Thu Dec 16, 2004 6:28 pm

Been reading the boards the last couple of days about the SNOW and Cold Weather for Christmas. Wasn't sure if it would happen, but now I am really watching lol Our local weatherman just showed the artic air coming down and said it could get real interesting. The only problem is I'll be in Tennessee then but they are calling for Snow there too, Time to start the Snow Train All Aboard CajunMama, Ptracker, Southerngale, Chad, Marshall(hehehehe) I love it

WOW... if this happens there will be a White Christmas as far south as Houston, New Orleans, Pensacola, and Albany, GA. Very light snow will be falling here. This is Midnight Late Christmas Eve.

Same deal at Noon Christmas Day(only the snow line is a little more to the north).

I'm on the very northern fringe of the precip. I personally think(hope) if we have that setup the low will be a little farther north.

Snow falling on Christmas eve...I can't imagine anything people around here would rather have for Christmas. I just hope it all pans out!

I have seen a reference to potential snowfall totals here and on another site. I have not been able to find any of these maps. I don't mean precip type only, I mean forecasted or potential accumulation maps. I read on another site posted by our local met about the Christmas storm totals projected by the GFS. If I can find them on the GFS, I just need to know where to look. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help..
