Well, well, looks like our (envious) neighbor in Alabama is doubting the appearance of frozen precip in the Atlanta area. Well, we shall see how it all pans out.

I'm feeling fairly confident there won't be a run on magnifiers at Walgreen's tomorrow! :roflmao:

LOL... I would love nothing more than to see it, but if you want accumulation, pack the kids up and head for Western North Carolina.

SNOW WATCH ATLANTA.....coverage continues.

Shh....but then I might run into my ex mother-in-law (in Haywood Cty). NO WAY. No can do. :D

Yikes... ex-in-laws.

IN-LAWS are bad enough. :P

SNOW WATCH ATLANTA....coverage continues.

Well, not a flake in the sky. Temp is sitting at 37 F. Local mets are downplaying any precip big-time, so I expect this "event" is a BUST.

BUT....stranger things have happened in HOTLanta. We've had storms pop up that NO ONE predicted, and then we've had storms played up BIG--only to see them fizzle out.

So....I'm off to bed.. We'll see what the morning brings!

Over and out from HOTLanta!! :D

Looks like we'll at least get some flurries 8-)

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 17. Windy, with a northwest wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph

BRRRRRR!

If it's going to be this freaking cold, the least we deserve are a few minor snow showers today to set the mood for Christmas week, right? ;)

That's great... I wish it would do it here. Front just passed and it's 48.4 and the temperature is plummeting.

Well, the flurries have ended. They were VERY brief. A few large flakes, a few small ones, and now we just have lite rain. Streets are wet and that's about it.

What a let-down. I was hoping for a little more than this. Not necessarily accumulation, but enough of a snow shower (or two) to start up the fireplace and get in the Christmas spriit. :(

Whats even more letting down is the Mid Week Apps runner. Is going to ruin are christmas storm.

No Christmas storm...all models agree they have lost it, the Apps runner messes up the pattern so much that it cant recover.

Feels like the freaking North Pole here but it's just too dry for precip. 35.2.

I never got my hopes up about a Christmas storm for Atlanta. I've lived here since 1968, and can only recall two (maybe) "White Christmases". Both of which were just dustings--with grass poking through. Nothing real pretty or to be too excited about.

To *me*, it is a given that we will NOT see snow on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and if we DO it's a huge bonus.
