Snowing in southern New Jersey!

#1 Postby Stephanie » Sun Dec 19, 2004 9:01 pm

:D We have a light coating on the cars and shrubs. They're calling for perhaps an inch of snow.

It's snowing here, as well. They were calling for a dusting to a quarter of an inch, but we are pushing an inch and a quarter.

I don't understand New York. I've lived in 3 areas of the state and the roads get down right treacherous before they even think of clearing them. It wasn't that way back home.

well if stormraiser is from ANYWHERE in the south then what he says is definently true...if there is even flurries they get the big ol trucks out and the salt ready and everything...becuase EVERYONE knows people in the south cant handle driving the winter driving conditions....**not getting on southerners becuase i am one myself...just stating the fact that people who arnt around snow alot do not know how to handle the conditions**

We just ended up with a dusting and if it didn't freeze, the wind blew it away. HOLY COW it's CCCCOLD outside!! I went to get gas this morning and the door to my gas tank wouldn't open. We had to help it along with a coin. :froze:

We had a dusting here last evening Steph. Low temp was down to 10 degrees this morning. Wind chill was minus 10. It's 16 degrees with wind chills of minus 5 to minus 12 as of 11 am this morning. I'll be shocked if areas north and west of the major metros experiences high temps of 20 degrees.
