#1 Postby kevin » Tue Dec 21, 2004 12:30 am

28 degrees in Ocala. I went outside to take the dogs out and then ran back inside and watched them from the window. Too dang cold out there for this Floridian.

Reporting from Ocala, Florida. ((29.1 82.1))

WOW! It's warmer in southern Minnesota right now than it is there...pretty impressive!

Wish there was snow instead of just freezing temps...

=) Oh well, I live in Florida. We got our hurricanes this year.

It was down to 32°, (20 to 25 miles south of Ocala), an hour ago. 34° at last report. Monday morning's low temperature was 32°.

Its 39 and calm winds. What happened to 33 with 20-25mph winds?????????
I picked all the bell peppers yesterday. I couldn't get over how much they were still bearing. They could have stayed on the vine a little longer. I don't know why I listen to our local met, they are usually off by 4 or so degrees during winter events. I bet the strawberry growers in Plant City are happy this morning.

45 out right now, seems downright balmy with no wind. We didn't get into the 30's last night  .

Ocala is a cold spot. The temp is recorded in an area that has lots of big open pastures and few trees so lots of radiational cooling.

I live 90 miles NE of Ocala south of Jacksonville on the east side of the St Johns River under some big trees. Cause the wind must pass over 3 miles of water to get here, it is never gets as cold here as the surrounding areas.

Our low was 34 this morning
