Interesting, but wrong forum..

Note this came from National Weather Service in HOUSTON. (header highlighted/bolded in red).

God forbid anything might ever happen to one of your children that requires an Amber Alert be issued. Someone (like you) might object to getting their info out. :(

First--I'm not a tiger. I'm a mother, and fellow weather enthusiast.

Second, you didn't bother to read the whole post or even the TITLE of the thread (obviously) or you would know this came from NWS Houston.

Since this came from the NWS site, I do believe it appropriate to share here in this forum--where it will get the broadest exposure which might lead to the location of the missing child.

After the events in Missouri with the murder/kidnap of the unborn baby, and the murderer being found BECAUSE OF THE INTERNET, it is entirely possible someone who visits here might have helpful information in this case.

As a Mother, I would want a stranger to do this for my children if there were ever a need for it.

I'm sorry that my willingness to help get the info out about a child who is presumed to be with an ARMED and DANGEROUS murderer was so troubling to you.

Not all children are as lucky as yours and mine--to be safely tucked up in their own bed--protected by parents who love and nurture them.

The least we can do is give exposure to this child's plight and maybe help locate her.

for something like that...i dont think there is such a thing as "wrong forum"....how do you classify an amber alert to a specific forum...soemthing like that is just one of those things that should be everywhere...thats talking abotu a child..not a weather even or something like that....an amber alert should be a sticky in like every forum everywhere...

If it's going to be here, it needs to be on the tropics board, US Weather watch board, Off-Topic, Politics, etc.

No problem. It always breaks my heart to hear about these things--and it makes me feel so helpless. This is just a small thing to do for this little one...but it is what I *can* do. Thank you for understanding why I posted it here. :)

Good. I just didn't understand having it posted here and not on off-topic where news items typically go anyway.
