50% in Pensacola Too

#7 Postby EmeraldCoast1 » Wed Dec 22, 2004 6:08 pm

Afternoon forecast still calling for 50% mix PM Christmas Eve and 50% SNOW overnight into early Christmas AM!

The possiblity in itself is fun to follow. FEMA blue roofs and snowflakes...what a combo!

Hey, I just want to SEE snow. I, like many people along the GOM and SE would love to have a white-out accumulation snow event, but that's just not going to happen. I will be very happy just to walk outside and see snowflakes falling from the sky around my palm trees - what a site it would be! And to happen on Christmas Eve? Would be awesome.

After this area getting a right hander from Ivan, maybe Mother Nature is trying to apologize. If I see snow falling Christmas Eve... then apology accepted!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. I've already got the CD in the player ready to go.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

50 to 60 percent chance here now...and even a mention of possibly accumulations of one inch in the panhandle of florida...what a sight that would be for christmas!

I might have to drive SOUTH this time. Lower Mobile County:

Friday. Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of rain mixed with sleet then changing to a light snow and sleet mix during the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s early. Then falling into the mid 30s. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

Friday night. Cloudy in the evening with a chance of light snow. Possibly mixed with sleet. Partly cloudy late. Lows in the mid 20s. North winds 5 to 15 mph becoming 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation 50 percent. Total snowfall accumulation an inch or less.

of FROZEN crawfish? LOL, I'll take some tail meat for
etouffee, please....!

I do hope that you "deep-south" southerners get some
of that white stuff, too!

Cheers to a White Southern Christmas! :37:

LOL Breeze...I'll drink to that! It'll be odd having a snow party instead of a hurricane party :Partytime: :37:

As for the crawfish...i don't know what happens to them when it gets real cold...i could just eat them all myself!

When it gets cold like this, the crawish burrow in the mud making the size and quantity of available fresh crawfish much smaller (or at least that's what the crawfish restaurants say). Come back down here in March and April when they are HUGE!

Corpus Christi, TX

I've lived here since 1975 and I can't ever remember a forecast like Fridays.

My backyard will die and man thats going to be some work clearing out all the dead tropical stuff thats been growing for 10 or so years.
