Santa better fill his "flask" with something other

#1 Postby azsnowman » Wed Dec 22, 2004 5:03 pm

MAN.....Ol' Santy Claus better fill his flask with something other than COFFEE  Check out these wind chill factors for tomorrow and tomorrow NIGHT  -10 -20°

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL ALSO BE QUITE LOW...RANGING FROM THE LOWER 20S TO THE SINGLE DIGITS. SOME LOCATIONS NORTH OF THE RIM COULD SEE WIND CHILLS IN THE -10 TO -20 RANGE THURSDAY EVENING. GFS IS STRONGER AND WETTER THAN THE ETA. WILL KEEP 20 POPS IN OVER THE WHITES AND ZONES THAT BORDER NEW MEXICO. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS FROM THE MOGOLLON RIM NORTHWARD...BUT WILL NOT PUT IN ZONES. IN ANY CASE... NOT EXPECTING MUCH ACCUMULATION...LESS THAN AN INCH IN MOST PLACES. FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MODERATING TEMPERATURES ARE ANTICIPATED AS THE FLOW THROUGH A DEEP LAYER BECOMES SOUTHWESTERLY. COULD BE SOME HIGH CLOUDS FROM TIME-TO-TIME BUT THE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN DRY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. BY SUNDAY NIGHT...THE GFS HAS ANOTHER STRONG TROF MOVING INTO WESTERN ARIZONA. THE UKMET AND THE ECMF HOLD THIS OFF THE OR/CA COAST AT THE SAME TIME FRAME. FOR NOW...WILL KEEP THE FORECAST DRY UNTIL THERE IS MORE AGREEMENT BETWEEN MODELS AND SURROUNDING OFFICES. &&

Well, kinda, but not really, you see, I live at an elevation of 7000' at the base of the White Mountains, home to the 2nd highest peak in Arizona, Mt. Baldy, 11,500'. The record low for Pinetop is -40° set WAY, WAY back in 196?

ROFLMAO at Breeze 8-) Yup....better make 'em out of Patron Tequila  that'll warm the cockels of ol' Santys heart not to mention OTHER things too!

The record low in the valley floors here in Cochise County is -10F in Willcox in January 1962. SE and E AZ is not exactly Banana Country because of elevation and the fact that we have no barrier east of us to keep out the Arctic Air.
