Looking Ahead -- Next Cold Wave, When , and Where?

I am learning a lot about meteorology from this forum.

Now teach me and educate me more .

After this current coldwave shifts eastward towards the Atlantic, when, where, and how will the next cold wave take place? Will jet stream support cold air penetration on the next outbreak? Will there even be another significant arctic outbreak?

That is a good question-to me, I don't see anything much for the next 10 days at least. Though I haven't had much the whole month of December-even this cold shot really brought nothing for the Central Plains. The euro sets up a closed off low off of California which will really warm things up here-be in the 50's on Sunday. GFS tries bring it out early next week and tries to cool it off by Wed. and lol shows me in a snow New Years Day (I'm going to save the image soi when I'm fishing on New Years day with temps in the upper 40's I can laugh!!) I would think the EURO is correct and we have a mild next week for pretty much everyone west of the Rockies and South of say Ohio and Indiana. Who knows: maybe the GFS can for once hit a pattern for my area!!! But if I'm warm, then chances are Texas will be as well.

The Pacific Northwest (specifically Western washington), will see several shorts of cold Arctic air, beginning this Saturday Night, and possibly lasting all the way through mid-January. I think the GFS has the right idea on ejecting this system out... I think the timing is just all wrong. We shall wait and see I guess.
