HAS FALLEN FOR THE YEAR THROUGH 10 PM THIS EVENING. THIS BREAKS
THE RECORD FOR THE WETTEST YEAR SET IN 1996 WHEN 63.76 INCHES
OF RAIN FELL. RECORDS GO BACK TO 1874.

I didn't think they'd make it, but this last minute storm has put them over the edge, and you could probably add another inch to that tonight before all is said and done.

How much snow is on the ground where you are?

We had approximately 8" around 3 p.m. and then it rapidly switched to freezing rain and sleet, and later became quite heavy, adding another inch or two of ice, which actually packed down the snow a bit from what I can tell. Since we've switched back to snow within the last hour, another inch has fallen and it is coming down very heavily. Heavy snow with thunder and lightning are approaching from the west and southwest, and will last for 2-3 hours, with snowfall rates of 2" possible (maybe 3" in strongest cores)...I'll be sure to post if I see any lightning or hear thunder...and of course I'll have my totals posted and pics up ASAP!
