I got to take my vacation early and visit Greenville, SC, but this weather isn't exactly christmas like today, it's 66 outside. I know that will change tomorrow, but I just checked the weather back in Atlanta and it's 34 with a wind chill of 24. How is there this much of a temp difference between two places that close to each other when the cold front has passed both places?
Almost summer like in SC

At 6:21 pm, its a balmy 28 degrees in my part of Atlanta. Enjoy the warmth where you're at!! If we can't have *S*, then I'd rather it be warm.

I got up at 7 am today. It was 48 degrees out. At 9:30 am, it was 39. It's now a balmy 28 degrees. I prefer *Snow* with my cold weather...and if I can't have *S* when its THIS cold, I'd rather have warmth.

You kidding me?
. 66 is downright chilly here. Its at least 75 here, even though they say its 70. The humidity is downright awful. Feels like a summer night. I bet the low won't even get below 70. All the skeeters are back with a vengeance. Sure feels like Christmas out...Painful because I had to put a sweater on last week whenever I went out.

I sympathize with you. This morning the humidity was over 90% and I felt like I was smothering. It doesn't feel like high 60's like its being reported. Its downright muggy with no wind.

Seele, even though Atlanta and Greenville are located close together,
Greenville is still just east of the southern appalachian chain and on
average it takes four to five hours for colder air to rise and fall over the
summits before it reaches the foothills and piedmont. There is nothing
west of Atlanta to impede the progress of fronts. I live very close to
Charlotte and I have cursed the mountains to our west for slowing cold
air progress.
