It's snowing at my house!!

#1 Postby southerngale » Fri Dec 24, 2004 6:46 am

Right now! It's light but it's snowing. :D At this rate, it will take a long time to make a snowball. lol
It's in the upper 20's here so it's not melting when it hits.

I hope it lasts for a while!! 8-)

:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: NOTHING at my house yet!!!! :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: but I am hopeful. Radar does indicate some snow building in from the SW and even further to our SW. Still don't expect any accumulation, but at least now am hopeful to SEE a flake or two. I guess I should have gone to my Mom's in NIceville where radar shows they are getting moderate to heavy snow.

Kelly the radar does show what just went through your area. Take a picture!!!

Kelly - that's great! What a real treat for you!!! Woohoo!! Hope you got outside and enjoyed it.

We had a string of very mild winters up here in the Ohio Valley, for many years. Seems to be changing back to snowy ones though.....but I used to say Dallas, TX got more snowfall than Cincy did! There were a few winters where we didn't get squat! I can also remember xmas shopping in mid December, in 70 degree wx. No winter coat needed. Not even gloves. I was still doing yardwork that winter!

Of course this year it snowed already - and how. White Christmas for Cincinnati this year.

David - I hope it comes your way!!!

I did go outside to enjoy it but it was VERY light. If I'm gonna make Frosty, it needs to snow like this for many, many hours!
Anyway, it's already stopped for now. Hopefully I'll get some more soon...it seems to be scattered all around. It needs to get a little heavier though. I took one picture and it shows a few flakes sitting on the deck rail. I got the snow falling with the camcorder though.

Bring on some more!! :)

<sigh> Looks like another year of a vicarious white Christmas. After all the hype of the past few days, no snow in Houston. I'll just close my eyes and pretend I'm in Beaumont. Not too hard with all the pain pills my doc has me on!

Congrats on the snow, Kelly!!! Even if it isn't enough to cover the ground, I'm sure it must be really exciting given that it's Christmas Eve! I see it snowed a bit this morning in Brownsville as well, simply amazing!

Especially amazing since it is December!!! It would be amazing in B'ville at any time, but Jan-Feb are our snow months in TX.
