Lots of "NOWCASTING" going on on the Gulf Coast
Seems, like a lot of folks were caught off gaurd with the radar presentation this morning...Accuweather and Weather channel have adjusted their forecasts a bit. IT may all evaporate and be nothing this afternoon....all I can say is neither ETA or GFS showed this ploom of moisture this far north...I think today is going to be a wait and see thing for a lot of folks across the gulf coast.

Well put and usually how it really is here for winter events.
I'm hoping with the moisture plume much further North than anticipated and the low still to take shape that the lower levels will moisten up enough for at least some flurries. Radar is beginning to show spots all around so who knows? It may never reach the ground, but there is still hope. Most of the local OCM's are saying we will have flurries on and off through tomorrow midday. I for one am hoping for a surprise accumulation.

What do you mean by a wait and see day??? I just asked in another post if today is just a prelude of things to come because I have been reading comments saying that tomorrow will be the best day for wintry mix along the coast because the models are bringing all of the moisture further north.

The models defiantely didnt this moisture ploom...and unfornuately, as the low deepens off brownsville some of this energy may get sucked south. I guess if that doesnt happen and the models were right...then we would have a continued winter weather event into tomorrow morning. I think flurries late tonight and tomorrow morning would be it though
