Not ready to give up yet, at least I saw some sleet

#1 Postby cajungal » Fri Dec 24, 2004 7:58 pm

It was sleeting as I was driving to work today. I work at the mall in Houma. It starting coming down pretty moderatly around 9:00 a.m. It did not last long at all though. But, I still got pretty excited to see something fall from the sky other than rain. I just got home from work a few minutes ago. I checked the radar, and see some pink stuff coming our way. So, maybe before I go to midnight mass, I might see some more sleet/snow. I hoping beyond hope. Although, right now nothing is happening. What do you guys think? Merry Christmas to all!

I hope you get some snow cajungal. Even though I don't have nearly enough to build Frosty, just seeing snow falling on Christmas Eve has been a very special treat. Good luck...I'll blow some your way. ;)

I think your almost certain to see SOMETHING frozen, can't guarantee snow, but I'd say that's a good bet too. Enjoy it. Put some in your freezer.

Last time I saw snow I was 13 years old. I am 28 now, so that is quite a long time. If I just see a dusting of snow, I will be so happy and Christmas will be even more special for me.

This is about the best setup for a white Christmas that we in Louisiana will ever have. The best thing is that the NWS has downplayed the situation.

What time any more sleet or snow will come in for us?

What time do you think any snow/sleet will be coming in? I live in southeast Louisiana. 60 miles southwest of New Orleans. Upper Terrebonne Parish.
