We got some light rain about 30 minutes ago. Looking at the radar, it looks promising?? Is this possible??

Morgan City's under an advisory with a 100% chance of precip (snow/sleet accumulations to 2" by sunrise):

Winter weather advisory for tonight.
Rest of tonight. Cloudy with snow and sleet mixed and accumulations from one to two inches possible by sunrise. Lows in the upper 20s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill readings around 20 degrees. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

We're still at the 10% chance here, but it's been super light drizzle the last couple of hours. Finally the temperature (which had been holding steady in New Orleans @ 37 for the last several hours) is falling (down to 36). Hopefully we'll some frozen precip again, but I'm so zonked out after a long day, I don't know if coffee could keep me up. Since it's now officially Christmas, Merry Christmas & God bless us all, everyone /tiny tim

Swampdog y'all might get quite a bit down there. The precip is having a very hard time coming into Lafayette but hopefully we'll get some later. I don't need much, just to see the ground white on Christmas morning ;).

I sure will...it's still sleeting very hard...hitting up against the windows and staying on top of the vehicles.

Mostly rain now...the sleet has backed off somewhat. Still ice on the vehicles though.

Rain with a little sleet on the Westbank of New Orleans.

If it were only snowing as hard as it is raining,we would get some decent accumulation.

It's been sleet, hard sleet, here in Reserve for about the past 20 to 25 mins.
