Post your SE and S Texas snowfalls..

#1 Postby Air Force Met » Sat Dec 25, 2004 7:52 am

Post em' here if you've got them.

Here's how you do it. You need to take many measurments from different parts of your yard...careful to avoid drifts (OK...I never though I would use that term in SE Texas...but I actually have a snowdrift in my yard). Average the measurements to the whole inch.

I'll start:

Here in North Angleton, we received 8.5"...rounded up...that's 9".

All I can say is ............. WOW.

Just amazing and the first white xmas ever in that area. Certainly worth the all nighter for tracking this unprecedented event.

Just drove around town in Angleton AFM, and hard to describe how much snow we really got. For being SE Texas it has to be close to a all time record...

Just a few pics for you, from 930 last night when it started to 7am this morning..Click on em to enlarge....

Don't sell us short Brent...LOL...

I measured as well and came up with 8/9 inches like AFM.

Outside of the city driving around found up to 11 inches in a open field...Crazy!!

It's been so long since I've seen that much I was just estimating.

That's insane. You sure your still in Texas?

Wow, I never knew that South Texas could see that much snow. Once in a lifetime event to be sure. It looks like a scene in Upstate New York!

Just finished our snowman. We live at 717 Manor Dr if anyone want's to see. It has a camo hat, a celery nose, rose eyes and stick arms :-)

We got 10" in our backyard. My little dog disappeared (after I threw her in...of course...) :-)
