Snowing heavily in New Iberia and Morgan City Louisiana!

#1 Postby cajungal » Sat Dec 25, 2004 12:07 pm

My friend just called me. She is with her husband visiting his parents in New Iberia. She said is snowing hard in New Iberia and starting to come down in Morgan City as well. Morgan City is barely a 30 minute drive from me! And it is even a bit further down on the coast than me. The radar continues to show white. It looks to be heading straight for the Houma-Thibodaux area. It better hurry before the temps warm up. So far we are still just getting very light rain with ice pellets mixed in.

Still mostly sleeting in Metairie, but we're getting a few flakes mixed in. I hope it completely changes over before the low gets to our east. Everything's melting on the ground with only some accumulations on roofs, cars, an dsuch. Fun for Christmas.

I would drive over there. But, a lot of the main roads are closed. And we are fixing to leave to go to my grandpa's house in Thibodaux for lunch and to spend the day.
