Weather for VA?

#1 Postby Garrettj » Sat Dec 25, 2004 5:22 pm

accuweather (not too accurate) and weather.com (same with accuweather) are showing temps for the next 10-15 days in the lower to mid 60's almost everyday, im sure they are not going to be right, because todays high was suppose to be 41, and it is currently 30 at 5 PM, so i was wondering if these expected warm temperatures are expected to last, and when can we anticipate snow?????

Certainly a storm to watch

trends have been further west along the coast and not as far out to ea as in previous model runs. This means the immediate coast including the megalopolis are not off the hook. Areas along and to the east of I 95 all the way to the coast from the Carolinas northward are in that are of reckoning. A major winter storm is possible in this situation.
Will watch how it evolves throughout the night into sunday.

Merry xmas.

Hi Becka. Assuming you folks are still in northeast Maryland, a light snow accumulation is possible by late Sunday or Sunday night of 1-2 inches possible. There could be more or less in this situation depending on how close this storm gets to the eastern seaboard. But assuming it is a bit offshore, the western fringes of the snow could clip us here in central and northeast Maryland. Will keep and eye on this and will see how this fares. This is the same system that dumped Texas with snow earlier this morning giving them a white christmas.

I hope your christmas turns out very well Becka. Take it easy ande merry christmas.
