New England Dec 26-27 snowfall totals

#1 Postby Dave C » Tue Dec 28, 2004 8:42 am

Here's NWS snow totals.
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/fcsts/BOSPNSBOX.html
We received 13 inches in my area (Middleboro) with 45 mph wind gusts. The heavy band over se Virginia that dumped up to a foot there seemed to set-up over Cape Cod and just to my south. My area seemed to benefit from the coastal front and ocean enhancement bands which I was able to detect on radar loops during the storm. Boston area and north and west received much less amounts as they were too far north of the dynamics(coastal front and band WXguy25 mentioned).

14.5" inches of snow...

A friend gave us a late Christmas present... he "turned around" his bobcat in our driveway, effectively shoveling us out!

We dreaded having to go home to all that snow! Quite a surprise to find the driveway clear (we have little cars)
