Nice map, now just make one for the PNW this weekend.

Actually it is not bad, west of Lake Superior. It is too far south once you get east of the Lakes IMHO.

Nice Job: I think the pink line may need to be inched a bit further south-the latest run of the EURO as the low tracking thru southern Kansas and is beginning to bring that 0 line a bit further south-a very good first call and one that will prob. verify. Omaha will get some snow or an ice storm from this.

Well I think its a little to early for a map but I guess its possible.

The gfs at 168 hrs out which is pretty far out but anyways it shows the heaviest snow almost right on southern minnesota and northern iowa. Well at least its something better to look at then the stupid alberta clippers on the models. Also this weekend theres talk about a snowstorm maybe 3-4 inches which would be the most this year

Does the HEavy Snow include EAtern NEbraska...like Omaha??? And which area will there be a ICe Storm?

For you guys in Omaha it would probably a rain to snow deal with being so close to the 32 degree line but lets hope it changes so we can all get snow! Oh lets also hope the New year brings in storms like last year in Feb. where Omaha got slammed and so did parts of Minnesota it kinda looks like the same pattern with storms coming in off the pacific and turning up towards the plains

We have a 20 inch deficet of snow so lets hope again that we all get the BIG ONE!

If you look at the EURO, it has a low (1011) comming thru southern Kansas on Wednesday-that is a great track for the central plains-unfort. the 0 line is not close enough to me, but it is for you-you could wind up with a mix bag or mostly snow-too early to tell for certain as it is 7 days out-I think everyone South of say Northern Iowa and Nebraska will see mostly rain from the Sunday/Monday event. The euro hangs more energy back than the gfs and that second low on WED. could be the interesting one esp. for you. Which event are you talking about by the way?

Alright I'm gonna go out on a limb here I usually don't do this.
Pretty much based on the GFS lol which won't come true

Kansas City- minor freeZing rain mixing in with the rain. NO SNOW

Omaha- Freezing Rain to Snow maybe two to four inches before it ends

Sioux falls- Mainly all snow 4-6 inches but that might be a tad bit high but who cares :lol:

Minneapolis- All SNOW probably a sawth of 4-6 inches with higher amounts localized from about Norfolk, NE to Just south of Minneapolis

I hope thats good for my first ever forecast!

Alright I tried my hand at a map. This was my first time trying to make a snowfall map. It kinda sucks. I think Ice could be bigger area oh well it was MAINLY JUST FOR FUN

Looks good... although you may want to shift that up about 100 miles IMO.

Yeah you're right the ice should a little north. I'm surprised nobody is talking about the weekend system which could be Central MN and Northern parts of Iowa first bigger snows of the season the the eta brings in a shot of snow on Sunday but that be a little fast

So as I was browsing around Accuweather.com which I really don't like but thats not the point the point is their snowfall maps agree with what I think Just might happen this week for two different storms

Monday to tuesday-

Saturday- Sunday big area of 3-6
