Nampa police disarm pipe bomb near elementary school in Idaho.
Nampa Police disarmed a pipe bomb near an elementary school Monday afternoon. The department's bomb squad used a robot to blow the explosive device up. It was found a quarter mile from Birch Elementary School. A Nampa water department employee made the discovery. Police say there was no threat to anyone at the school or in a nearby neighborhood. Police say the bomb didn't appear to be directed at any particular target. They say they don't know how it wound up lying on the side of a road. Police Sargent Kyle Winnicki says somebody may have accidentally dropped the pipe bomb.
