Reminds me of the episode of when Raymond left behind Debra (with a curling iron tangled in her hair!) and went to a party...then came back with a sports theme boquet to try to make it up to her!

what I want in a gal
(18-30)
pretty smile
cute face
good body. 5-3-5-9
good personality
polite
likes to make love on a regular basis
smart

At work there is a girl Im trying to date (20) shes really polite, and cute. She goes away to college two hours north though so she goes back to school in a couple weeks. :x :x I asked her out about 1 1/2 weeks ago and she said sure. I talk to her alot since and she says she will call me but doesnt. I bought her a xmas card and gift card last week and she gave me a hug. :D Shes a very polite girl and also is the starting soccer goalie for her school. Btw here is a pick of her in action. Image

Also her friend told me she doesnt like to give her number out so thats why she said she would call me. Well Igot her cell number from someone else. :D Should I call her with her not knowing how I got it? Like at work Sunday I told her I would like to take her out still and she said ok. I told her I think shes a cute looking girl and is very polite and she smiled and said thanks. I blushed a little cause I kinda froze while she was smiling and didnt say anuything. SHe did say once though that Im a little pushy and said she understands I want to take her out but that I dont need to keep telling her. I had to buy something at work yesterday and I went into her line. I told her Id like to do something and if she was going to call me still and she said ok. can anyone give me advice? I think shes adorable, and is very polite and smart, but it seems like she tries to make excuses that shes busy and such. I wonder if she doesnt want to tell me no cause she doesnt want to hurt my feelings. It could be cause she goes to school 150 miles away maybe thats why she hasnt called me yet. Can anyone give me advice on what I should do? One of the guys at work said I should be upfront and ask her if she still wants to go out with me. He said she might just be trying to brush me off and that I owe it to myself cause he said its stupid worring.

EWRC,

Take it from someone who has been in this situation before: DON'T PLACE ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET!

In short, I have had a girl do exactly the same actions--avoid me, use the "busy" excuse, etc. When she became "brutally honest" with me, I found out she had a boyfriend. That was what worried her.: hurting my feelings.

Sometimes people, particularly females can somewhat give very subtle hints of something. Someone that is only working with no school until after the new year begins? Sounds somewhat "fishy", unless she has relative in town.

I am not saying this is the case, but just for the record, I never found out the girl I was dating had a boyfriend until 6 months later! It was amazing how she avoided me about 75% of the time.

About the cell phone thing: that's a toughy. Someone else may be able to provide you with better advice in that department ( I have been just as sneaky. ;) )

"Greats" keep showing that you like her. When she sees that you feel for her then she will went to be around you. Do things for her make her feel like she is some one you reallly went close to you. Buy her stuff or take her out to dinner. Over time if you do it right you will get her. I wish you luck :D

1# Try to stay close in talk to her. But don't drive her nuts.
2# Stick up for her even if she is wrong.
3# Pay the cash for the dinner when you finnal go out.
4# Show her that you are man enough to be there for her.

I hope this helps :D

I know she doesnt have a bf though. I bought her a xmas gift and she gave me a hug. It seems she tries to find excuses. It could be cause shes very polite and doesnt want my feelings hurt so thats why she wont say no. I saw her yesterday and she said she would call me still. She still hasnt :x Why cant she just tell me she doesnt want to then? I understand shes really polite and all. Also last week she said I was a little pushy with her. She also seems to be very cautious cause like I said I'll pick you up and she said like "or I can just meet you there, or after work we could go out sometime" cold that be a signal also shes kinda leery? Her friend told me she doesnt like to give her number out to anyone.

Call me crazy...but it sounds like the person that gave out her cell # without her knowledge...should have honored her wishes...out of politeness and respect. Good luck man!

I asked her why she woulndt give me her number the other night (even though I have her cell I just wanted to see what her reaction would be) and she said she doesnt like people calling her all the time. I asked her so you think Id call you all the time lol, and she said "so your going to call me all the time" I mean I gave her my number and I just think she should be polite enough and give me hers.

With that settled, she is fair game. :)

Give it time; don't rush it. However, don't wait too long (if she has not called by the time she is back to school out of town), it is time to find someone else. It is her loss if she fails to contact you.

A bit of advice you mother probably said (I know mine still says this to me and I am 23. LOL): "The WatchPot Never Boils."
