Ozark Plateau Ice Storm?

#1 Postby Possum Trot » Mon Jan 03, 2005 3:56 pm

Sunday morning, NWS wx forecast called for a possible major ice storm in the Ozarks on Tuesday evening and Wednesday. Sunday evening, NWS said the cold front would stay to the north and we would have a heavy rain event. This morning, NWS confirmed the front was too shallow to move south over the higher terrain. However, the temperature has dropped twenty degrees in the past hour, and I'm wondering if any forecasters on Storm2K can foresee any winter wx in Ozarks?

I got excited. The temperature has dropped fifteen degrees in three hours.

Hi Possum Trot. Keep a close eye on things... mother nature likes to fool Ted, Ron, and Tim. ;)
