What is this on the radar?

I was looking at the radar out of Wilmington, OH (Cincinnati) and noticed something strange. Not sure what it is but it looks like a tail of something or other. Not moving with the precip but moving almost perfectly from north to south. I just noticed it on the Pittsburgh radar too. Can anyone tell me what it is? Could it be the frontal boundary moving through?

I dont think its a boundary, you know what it could be? Looks like the birds are noticing the climate change, and colder air coming down from canada? Probably birds migrating, and the radar is picking it up...Ive seen this sometime on radar, moving as slow as they would to

I didn't see the radar at the time, but if the line was moving along, it very well could have been the frontal boundary, but if the line wasn't moving, it almost sounds a little like chaff...

It was like a straight line of light blue with bits of green moving directly south as the precip would move W to E SF...

The location of Pittsburgh's was the exact location to Cincinnati as if they were connected but not detected so far from the radar.

I don't imagine it was migrating birds at this time of year, at least not in Ohio and Pennsylvania. By this time of year I would think all the migrations would be much farther South than that, especially since they have had below zero temps in those areas and prolonged below freezing temps.

It was definitely the cold front. I saw it at the time as well, but did not see this post. There are a number of things that can cause the front to be visible by radar. In the summer, bugs get massed up along the boundary - once a certain number exist there, the radar sees them as precipitation-sized particles. There obviously aren't bugs there at this time of year, so it may have actually been precipitation along the front or clouds with very large cloud drops.

Definitely the frontal boundary pushing south ... the enhanced area moving south from the front itself produced a narrow area of stronger lift, thus the higher reflectivities w/enhanced precipitation right along it ...
