Probably some difference. Aging someone makes them distinguished. Wearing them out makes them old. :wink:

took me 10 years to wear him out, but I finally did it! BTW, he gets the senior discount on coffee and they charge me FULL price even though I am the one who is eligable. I gladly pay it too!!

I usually only date older ladies (at least 2 years older than me)

I find that ladies my age or younger are too partyish and not wanting the commitment that I desire

I went to college at age 30, full time days, after quitting a job I held for 10 years. Within a few weeks, I took a part-time job on campus in the Registrar's office. I really took on that college lifestyle for a while. Made friends with other students, of all ages. A few were in the Learning Disabilities dept (I declared Edu as my major) and received additional tutoring. I just clicked with two of them and we were in several classes together. The girl was 25, the guy 18. One day he wouldn't talk much to me...turns out he had a crush on me, until the girl told him - she's THIRTY!!! We all had a laugh about that....but afterwards he continued to be very embarrassed. What can I say - I was into wearing jeans, T's, sweatshirts, no makeup, sneakers, to class. Later he said - I swear I thought you were my age. He made my day, for weeks after that!!!

For some reason, I've just always enjoyed making friends with younger people - dating or platonic friendships. My youngest daughter is the same way. Genetic?

I think I just don't want to admit my real age!!!

I get told a lot that I look much younger than I am - but I'm not sure if I believe that or not!! I've been in denial about Dale for a while now - my friend has been telling me for over a year that he has a thing for me. I'm like, "no, he just sees me as an older sister". Well, he has now left no room for doubt, and I'm unsure as to how to handle it. Like I said, I enjoy his friendship, but I don't want to hurt him. I am trying to be very conscience of what I do and say, so I won't lead him on.

I would play dumb and pretend you don't know what you know (sounds like a Friends episode to me....LOL).

Seriously, I wouldn't call him on it. But rather drop subtle clues that you think of him as a little brother or close friend. No more than that. Don't know how you can actually say it, but I would slip comments in here and there. And again, play dumb. Once you acknowledge this, it's out in the open. And there's no going back!
