Looks like real cold here or not so cold. The Models are thinking different things now. I think cold air will continue.

Whats up with the discussion? Is it going to cool off over night or are we stuck at just above freezing. I want atleast a couple snow showers in the AM so I can win my bet and so my big bosses dont come out here in the morning

Just watch. Tommorow things will again flip flog, most likely back the a colder weather pattern. People around here just need not get stressed out one model run of the GFS suddenly flip flopping, and they shouldn't really take it all that seriously until at least another day of wall-to-wall consistency from ALL of the models.

The snow event for Friday Night is still on, in my opinion. The cold air will most likely reach farther south than the Everett area, way more south. More like the Tacoma/Olympia area.

Anyways, the situation for later tonight and early tommorow morning is improving, at least where I live. temperatures are start to slide, and the dew point continues to lower. I believe that we should start seeing some decent snow coming down around the 12-1 AM hours of tonight. I am expecting 1-3" in the foothills in east King County, don't know about other areas, though, as I haven't been monitoring them as of late.

If I get a chance later on this evening, I will update with our current conditions and etc. Just don't give up hope, this will happen! :)

No idea, but the temperature has dropped to 34 F with a Dew Point of 29 F. A lot of precip is on the way and since we have another hour or two of cooling, I think it will be in the form of snow here.

Tonight, in my opinion still looks good Seattle North and the Cascade Foothills, especialy now since the fothills are getting colder air from Central and Eastern Washington, along with the colder air coming down from BC.

Stay tuned, by this evening things will be looking good for most everybody from Olympia/Tacoma North and all of the foothill areas around Western Washington.

Its morning now...

NO SNOW in Seattle.
NO SNOW in the foothills.

Tonight is looking really shaky as well.

There is NO CHANCE of arctic air beyond this weekend. No flip-flop coming. Global pattern will be shifting.

It could be, but just look how inconsistent the models have been so far this year. What I am really focusing on today is the snow coming in tonight. Currently, we are getting a light east wind, which is just what the foothills need to drag in colder air from Eastern Washington. So overall, from about Tacoma Northward and the foothill areas, it looks good for tonight.

Oh, and we should be seeing snow here on Kent's east Hill this morning, as another batch of precip is supposed to move through the area, and with our temp at 34 F and dew point now dropping to 27 F, it looks like a good chance at a little light snow this morning.

Can't wait for tonight, see ya! :)

Well we have trace of snow on the ground, and its just cloudy right now, thankfully I am still in the winter storm watch area being in the far northwest part of snohomish co. Hoping to see a bunch tonight. Places just to my north are getting hammered, Burlington is seeing bunches of the white stuff.

Yeah even NCEP is saying things won't change that fast! I have been down graded to a snow advisory, but they still say expect 3" tonight for northern snohomish co up to the boarder.

I dont understand how you guys are so far north in latitude yet its so hard to get snow in that area. Its snowing in Las Vegas. Theres more chance for it to snow in Georgia than in Seattle. Why is it so warm there?
