#1 Postby Burn1 » Thu Jan 06, 2005 8:55 pm

NWS forecast models indicate continued above normal temps from
SE to E Texas running a line up to the Northeast US covering everything
SE of this line......Does not look like a change for this area until after

Gaurantee there will be a change in temps in SE Texas before the 20th...and it won't be above normal. The airmass that is going to dump into Texas over the next 10 days is going to take the temps into well below normal. Once again...the GFS is underplaying the cold air and trying to shove it east. Ain't gonna happen.

Could be.......since you are right on the edge. Lets say if that occurs
I still think Mid-Atlantic and SE US will stay under strong ridge

Are we looking at temps possibly lower than this past Christmas?

Yes...I think it will be colder. Lots can happen though. Right now...the setup is for temps to be about 5-10F colder.
