WHAT the #$%#? If I'm reading the model correctly, the GFS is showing extremely cold air on the 14th. This model must be off its rocker or something.

R-Dub... give up the ghost on next week. The other models are even farther east. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. You cannot control the weather with wishes. You are not being objective. Seriously.

I am not sure when any precip will fall around Central Puget Sound. The farther west... the better. Lots of virga on the radar.

Something will fall eventually.

Walter Kelly just said that the precip moving up from the south will be snow, everywhere. 8-)

Okay, well I am under precip right now, so I guess the best i can do is sit around and wait. I am pretty close to the water (25-30 miles or so), so it will soon start to fall right. I mean, I have never heard of this kind of scenario before, but it couldn't possibly hold off all the moisture.

I didn't mean next week, I mean this weekend into mon TT

And looking at the GFS, I see no eastward shift next week. I don't think we are done with winter yet.

This happens all the time. In every season.

Every time there is a closed low off the coast we have virga. You must not watch very closely.

It is raining lightly in Tacoma and Shelton.

Saw a couple snowfakes under the light outside. Waited to see more and they never came so I am doubting if I saw anything. Feels dry and it is windy here.

W13 - you should have something now... drizzle, a couple snowflakes.

New NWS discussion says that any snow or mixed rain/snow should change all over to rain after midnight when south winds kick in. http://www.atmos.washington.edu/data/disc_report.html

Seattle NWS just said whatever falls will change to RAIN as the night goes on.

After midnight winds go southerly and it will be all rain around Seattle.

New NWS discussion doesn't look too good. It's like these stupid meteorologists can't get their acts together. One says one thing, the other says another thing. So far, it's 0 for 5 on lowland snow events. Still some promise for next week...latest models still drag arctic air down through Western Washington. Don't know what to think.

I don't expect the winds to turn southerly up here, too much outflow. Seattle yes, up in the NW interior NO! Still 31 degrees here. I remember in Nov '96 they kept calling for south winds and switch over to rain, never happened.

Confidence is going up in terms of next week, we are not done with the cold yet!

Absolutely nothing here, at the moment. Holding steady at 38 F with a Dew Point of 23 F but nothing falling, at all! :(

Hopefully NWS is wrong about later tonight.

I'm very surprised nothing has fallen here as well, but the humiditiy and dew point are still low.

No surprises here. Too dry at the surface.

Even if it does snow for a little while it will be gone by morning with light rain.

Best to expect it guys... its reality.

Looks like my prediction of 10 start for snow here in Stanwood will be right on! Bring on the inches!

W13 - I would be surprised if there is nothing falling now in Kent.

Have you walked outside? There must be a little drizzle or a snowflake.
