Hey, I miss Farmers Almanac Board Too, but I like it here too, and you never know even when the Almanac Board comes back... what if it happens again, it seems to me this board is bit more classy....

When it comes back I think I will post there too, I made too many friends and foes (lol) not to, but I think I will be posting here for a long time...

You're right though it's not home, but it could be.

access to the forums temporarily because one visitor was flooding the forums, especially the Weather Forum, with offensive content. We are currently working to restore the use of the forums to responsible and interested parties without the nuisance of offensive content.

I hate that place. I got banned when I told Criag and Squirrel they were idiots. That forum is the worst place in the world. If you say something that someone disagrees with you about they'll report you. I hope its down forever.

I know what you mean. I got banned when some kid got mad at me because I made a suggestion not to post stupid things like one letter remarks just to see his name listed as the last one to comment on each post. He went off and threatened me an some guy whose handle was a race car. When I reported him I was banned but some how this kid managed to get back on the forum under a new handle.
No wonder they had all the porno posts from the one guy. Ive seen the same individual posting on other sites. I was shocked to see what happened to the sight. Sad thing is,if it is after closing time they can't remove the post until the next day.
This site is a very CLASSY and Professional place to post. Ive never seen any disrespect or abusive language. I'd never go back to the OFA. The moderators here seem to have control and that is a very good thing. Welcome to the S2K!

I like the OFA forums as well. I hope they come back eventually. I e-mailed the developer of OFA's site and he said he was considering making it a paid forum. I dont know about you guys but I wont pay for any forum. Anyways, I'll probably stay here for a while, people on this forum seem to be very nice and intelligent in the weather field.

Hi guys,

I have visited the OFM in the past, and trust me it does not compare with this forum!! I have been mostly a lurker here, only because I'm not very knowledgeable about weather not because I feel I could not post, but I have learned so much about the weather from the people on this board.

I have never had any complaint here, the people are wonderful and always willing to explain your questions (even the stupid ones I ask :oops:

) without making you feel like a dummy.

Stay a while and you will feel the same way soon, trust me!

come to think of it the OFA doesn't take care of vulgar or horrible posts. It should have prevented what has happened. Does this place prevent those things from happening?

Yes it does. Remember though, sometimes the moderators don't pick up everything, so be sure to PM them when a problem arises.
