Warmer than last night. Tonight will truly be a non-event for all areas.

South of Everett because its too warm and everywhere because there is nothing on the radar... even very little in Oregon.

Nothing to work with tonight. Moisture continues to sink south tomorrow so totally dry Sunday and Monday.

Then some rain/snow during the day Tuesday... but a shadow from the Oympics for Everett, Lynnwood, Seattle, Kent, and Tacoma.

Pretty good shot at an inch or two of snow from Burlington north and east of 405 in the Seattle area on Tuesday afernoon/evening.

Then strikingly dry and warming for the rest of the week.

Thats an unbiased, objective opinion. Ignoring the fact that I would love a foot of snow... it ain't gonna happen.

Colder than last night, here at least.

Good thing I am east of 405 by about 10 miles for the Tuesday Night event. 8-)

I agree Anthony.

W13 - There will not be 1-3 inches of snow east of Kent, Black Diamond, Covington, Ravensdale, or even Tiger Mtn (elev 1300 feet). There will be no snow tonight.

We are going to Olympia tomorrow morning so we will be driving down Hwy 18 through the heart of that area and over Tiger Summit (which at 1300 feet would have snow before any place else over there).

I am pretty sure it will be dry and bare everywhere we go tomorrow! But
I will be checking for this 1-3 inches.

Roads are glazed ice now from the slush, still compact snow and ice on many side roads, needed to use the 4wd to make it up my local hill.
Down to 1/2" of snow, but still covers the ground. Now everything is sparkling from the freeze.

My parents won't let me go out tonight because of the potential for snow/ice on the roads. Last night was a nightmare...I was driving home from a friend's house around midnight and it was snowing pretty hard in Lynnwood/Mukilteo. On one of the local streets, my car got stuck in the middle-turning lane. I had to call my dad for help and got in some trouble. So tonight I'm stuck at home, chatting on the boards.

Will any of the moisture on this radar make it up to us? Looks like it. Same thing happened last night. I know because I watched it all night...

All of our snow melted away by late this morning. As mentioned earlier today...we recieved a dusting of light snow between hours of 12am and 2am. Maybe another around of more snow showers tonight. Will see what happens.

Right now at 6:46pm we have a light band of showers moving up the central sound that are coming up from Olympia. We may get some light precip out of this, but based on radar imagery..looks like Seattle, Kitsap..hood canal area will probably get the most precip. Our Temp here in Woodinville at 6:49pm is 37 with humidity 60% and baro 29.23 and steady. -- Andy

Unfortunately, I don't think that precip will make it passed Seattle. With a dry, east wind, precip will have a hard time making it very far north.

Probably a good bet to stay off the roads Anthony. They are horrible up here anyway. Glad I decided to buy some new tires for my Tahoe last month, had a hunch I would need them this winter, plus I do so much east west travel over the mountains. Its not me I worry about though, its the idiots with there 50K SUV's or trucks that think since they have 4wd they can do 80MPH. Even with my 4wd I still just creep along. I have a perfect driving record, and want to keep it that way. 8-)

How bout here in Woodinville? Any chance of see snow again tonight? I sure hope so. Oh BTW...that current precip band I mentioned about a little bit ago...well guess what...it`s on it`s way to disapating..so I don`t think we`ll get any showers from that. -- Andy

I think the majority of us will see at least a few snow showers later tonight and early tommorow morning. It may not amount to much, but then again from just a couple snow showers you could wind up with a couple of inches. 8-)

A ten mile wide band of drizzle/flurries is all thats left on the radar...

So.... for tonight...

I expect 10-16 inches of snow from Olympia to Tacoma.
I expect 14-20 inches across the heart of Seattle (including here in NB)
I expect 20-30 inches around Everett
And finally 30-40 inches north of Everett (since its soooooo cold up there)

That little band of drizzle / flurries is going to just explode.

Get ready guys. This is going to be one crazy night!!!

Yep, that band of showers is just going to explode and hover over Seattle for days, even weeks on end, drawing moisture out of Puget Sound and pumping it onto the Seattle area. 8-)

Better break out the snow blower!

But, in all seriousness, I am pretty sure that at least some people in the Central and North Sound regions will see measurable snow, especially around my area since it is already pretty cold and the dew point is going up slightly so that the precip can make it to the ground. 8-)

W13 -

THERE IS NO PRECIPITATION. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF ITS -20 DEGREES AT YOUR HOUSE.

The new 00Z run of the ETA shows NO precipitation tonight anywhere west of the mountains... from Bellingham to Olympia.

TOTALLY, COMPLETELY, 100% DRY.

Here is a link to the 12-hour totals from the ETA through tomorrow morning. Please look objectively. Please....

It still comes pretty close for a trace to an inch of snow.

Well Tim...is that your way of telling us that we wont see snow? Bet it is..!

Andrew r. That we would be so cool if we could get TONS of snow for in the Seattle and Eastside areas.

Looking at todays GFS 06z - 18z, along with MRF and UKMET...tomorrow will feature more showers...but very spotty and light. And for the Work week...we will have more scattered light showers at times with some sunbreaks likely. Long range out look through 384hrs...we`ll see dry sunny periods that last a good few days worth, and then it`ll be back to showers and sunbreaks at times. Also...am not seeing any really cold air coming at us anytime soon. -- Andy

Yes, that would be so awesome if we got that much snow. Hopefully, some day soon it might come close to that. 8-)
