Still little flakes falling from the sky here, and the temp is 31.5 degrees. I don't think there will be much melting today!

Could be some school delays tomarrow, and still no work for me since the golf course I work at has been closed since the 3rd of Jan due to cold temps! Looks like more of the same this week! I needed a vac anyway.

Good ol' SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! I creamed a bunch of kids on my neighborhood. I haven't had a snowball fight since 8th grade.

The big story will be tonight. With clearing skies and radiational cooling, expect low temperatures in the mid-upper 20s. Combine that will 2 inches of snow and slush, everything should freeze. There's still a small possibility of a few snow showers, but nothing organized...the surface low off the coast is weakening quickly and there's not much precip moving up from Oregon. Tomorrow morning's commute should be a mess. I'm praying for a 2-hour delay at school...if not a cancellation. But I won't get my hopes up...knowing my luck, everything will melt by this afternoon. Anyone else notice TT-SEA hasn't be online all morning?! lol.

I was wrong.... and Mother Nature always has a way of making a person humble.

The NWS is quite surpised this morning as well.

Checked the latest models and I still think it will rain and then snow pretty good on Tuesday afternoon/evening.

Ironically... even though when I woke up my first thought was having to admit I was wrong... I am happy about the snow!!

We are heading out this later this morning so don't think my lack of response is from embarassment... I can admit a mistake.

TT-SEA isn't AWOL....he's not at his computer. See above from page 17 of this thread.

Good catch Jen, thanks!

It will be interesting to see what he has to say about next week, will he be as negitive as yesterday.....Hope not! Reading his posts, he does have a passion about the weather, he just needs to open his mind a little!

Boy its not even hinting at warming up or melting! Still at 31.2 degrees with still little flakes falling. Another couple of hrs and it will be dark! Snow going nowhere here! don't see it warming much past mid 30's tomarrow either! 8-)

With a solid snowpack, it will be hard for daytime temperatures to rise. I expect temperatures south of Seattle to reach about 40 F. Areas north of Seattle will probably stay between 30-35 F. Whatcom county will be in the deep freeze again...but it's about time the rest of Western Washington got some snow...Whatcom county was taking all of it!!! Very little precip moving in from the south. Probably a good thing during the daytime...it might fall as very wet snow and melt the already existing snow. Tonight and tomorrow morning will be interesting. Hopefully another batch of precip will move north and we'll have a similar situation. Everything will freeze, though.

Been a wierd day, been a light snow falling all day, then we had a heavy snow shower about 20min ago! Now back to the light snow. Temp 32.8 degrees. Looks like showers are just kind of forming out of nowhere, and moving up!

I did my good deed for the day today! A guy in a pickup couldn't make it up the hill I live on, even with chains, and his 4wd wasn't working, so for the first time in 5 yrs I got to use my tow strap to pull him up! A little scary when I first started to back down to him, my Tahoe started to slide down to his truck, had to throw it back in drive and spin all 4 tires to stop the slide! luckily he was near the shoulder, so I was able to pull over and have my passenger tires in the soft dirt, that gave me enough traction to back up to him okay and pull him up! That would have sucked sliding into him!

Wow, it's warmed three degrees in the past 45 minutes. The clouds are also starting to break. Current temp is 35 F and rising. The snow is starting melt, but it looks awesome in any event. I figure there's only one more hour of daytime heating and then we start to cool back down. Today's been an awesome day!!! Snowdays are always cool in neighborhoods...it brings everyone together.

5 min after writing this, small flakes flying like crazy here, and temp 31.9 degrees.....Wild day :D

Clearing down here with temps. around 39. Seems most everyone is getting a north wind so hopefully cold air will be pulled down further south.

Have you guys seen what Old Farmers Almanac is doing? What do you think? Would you pay? I would if it is a small amount.. Still off and on very, very light snow.
Do you think the moisture from Portland will make it up our way for more snow later? Looks to me like it will clear up first if that is what happens??

Anybody here from Brennan or Snow_Wizzard?
