How cold is it going to get for southeast Louisiana?

I just want to know how cold it is going to get this weekend. Accuweather has the high in the mid 50's. So, does the weather channel. That is nothing big. That is not even that cold at all. But, New Orleans news says highs may not even get out the 30's. But, no precipitation. With sunny skies. So, this will not be a repeat of Christmas.

Yes, unless the models are missing something, this will be a classic cold front in Louisiana with deep blue skies and sun. The clouds protected us at Christmas by keeping the night temps up.

Here in Baton Rouge, I would expect a couple of days with highs in the low-mid forties. With low dewpoints and calm winds, lows could drop to the upper teens-low 20's.

Though this is subject to revisions pending the placement and strength of the high.

Blue skies and sunshine are boring! I only like that kind of weather if I am going to the beach or planning an outdoor activity. I HATE the cold. Only like it if precipitation is going to happen. I think we will be in the mid 40's for during the day. And drop down to around 30 at night.

Keep in mind that most wintry precip episodes in south LA are not predicted. There are plenty of adjustments for the atmosphere and models to make this weekend and afterwards. It could be colder, it could be unsettled.

Several local mets on tv are saying that it will not be a major event at all, just a return to much cooler weather (50's for highs and 30's for lows). That's cool enough for me however.

That's nothing to me. Highs in the 50's are like fall. I hope we get another shot at snow this winter. I got kind of spoiled by it on Christmas. I like exciting weather. Our weather has been so boring.

50's for highs and cloudy are my favorite type of weather. You guys are lucky to experience that weather. According to our forecast, it might be in the low 60's for highs but sunny :grr:

and lows in the upper 40s. Hopefully the Siberian high is stronger than expected and punches some cool air down here. We deserve it.

It will be too cold for my old bones this weekend. I heard on ch 4 news at noon that the highs on the weekend maybee only in the upper 30's with lows on the northshore around 21.......MGC
