Guilty! I also have this habit of walking down the halls here at work, shaking my head and fussing to myself. I think people here think I'm insane.

I did a lot when I was little (not in the car, of course, but in the tub or my bedroom or when I was playing with games and stuff in our rec room). I'm sure my mom used to listen to me all the time. I do it now when I write because it helps to speak the dialogue and figure out what someone should be saying and how they're saying it and how it flows. And I'll confess, sometime I "act" it out also by standing and walking around or doing whatever the character is supposed to be doing. I talk to the TV sometimes. I mean, not like it talks back or anything, but when something ridiculous happens, I tell 'em about it (Most recently to "Strong Medicine" on Lifetime -- "You dork! It's a trauma patient! You sure as heck better monitor more than just the *wimpy voice* pulse ox! The dude is INTUBATED for crying out loud!" or on "Third Watch" -- "Ya gotta intubate him! He's a burn patient! His throat will swell shut and he's gonna die! You guys KNOW this...you're firefighters!! Who wrote this episode?? Sheesh!")

Yeah, I talk to myself...I just don't answer back. Only online. :)

I saw one of the corpses on CSI blink her eyelids and I went bonkers. Also, searched for an hour for my glasses and I already was wearing them. I figured it was time to have a check up.

An even worse sign is if you actually answer and then carry on a long conversation.

Aha, I'm not the only one!!! I talk out a conversation I need to have with someone (usually my mom) that's going to be difficult. Just to practice what I'm going to say.

And I talk to the dog!

Finally, yes I've been known to say something outloud at the TV. Usually it's a what? They're doing that? That's crazy!!! (I say all of this alot when watching Joey....I really wish they'd ditch his sister!).

Oh man, you know I just called myself the other day for the first time, and man, I felt like a geek!

I talk to myself a lot in the car too, but not in the shower, I belt it out in there!

You are not alone!
The best one I ever pulled was years ago when I had to go into work extremely early to run year-end-close reports. Was still half asleep (that's my story and I'm sticking with it) driving in to the office and woke up at a stop sign - waiting for it to turn green.
Thankfully, it was early enough nobody saw me, but neither was there anyone there to honk at me, tell me I'm a dumbazz and move me along the way. I think I must have sat there for almost 5 full minutes!

Better yet, WHY do people, when your talking on the phone, giving directions on how to do something, how to get somewhere, you point and move your hands like they can SEE you!
